Raw, Red Skin Around Eyes?

Anyone know about this? My eyes feel very dry, the skin around my eyes is red and itchy, but my eyes themselves are not red or itchy. I've had allergies that effected my eyes a few years ago, but not the same way and not this time of the year.... could it be stress?

You poor soul. My brother has been suffering with the same symptoms for years. Quite embarrassing for him at times. Blood tests, the likes and hundreds of dollars later. We find that him cutting the hair from his eyes, as he has had long hair for years, has helped to no end. It may be if one has a long fringe, the hair or hair product you use may be causing the irritation.

One will get itchy eyes,  and may rub and scratch them, bacteria from ones hands makes the whole episode worse.
