  1. raw vegatables

  2. Raw foodism is a philosophy that the enzymes in food are killed or deactivated once food is heated above a certain temperature (which varies; I've heard between 115 and 121 degrees).  They believe good health is preserved when one avoids foods that are "dead" or cooked above that temperature.

Raw foodists eat raw fruits and veggies, of course, and they seem to consume a lot of nuts, but they also sprout beans and grains.

You might want to find a raw foods "cookbook" that might explain the lifestyle better.

  3. Raw foodists consume any food that is not heated above 115-118, ever. It has to be "alive".

All vegetables and fruits are edible.

For protein, nuts and seeds, and sprouted beans if you like.

Leafy greens are high in amino acids, which are what form protein.

For starchy carbs you can sprout grains, like raw oat groats, wheat berries, bulgur, kamut, quinoa, spelt, etc.

You can have raw honey, agave nectar, dried fruits, yacon syrup, etc for sweetener. Non-strict raw foodists use maple syrup as well, which is not a raw product.

There are a number of superfoods that you can use as well, like maca root pwder, lecithin, spirulina, and more.

You can have raw oils and avocados for fat(nuts and seeds too).

There is an endless variety of things you can do with raw food.

With a dehydrator, you can do even more.

    It's the BEST.

  4. Well...you could eat raw potatoes and stuff, but not bread because it's cooked.

    Maybe raw tofu beans?

Jeez...that is not a healthy diet....
