  1. The original Ray's is in Little Italy on Prince and Mott - they're still there, but the pizza has certainly seen better days.  I've lived in New York all my life, and have never had an outstanding slice at anyplace with "Ray" in the name - not Famous Ray's, not Great Ray's, not Original Rays.  Lombardi (very close to Ray's) was the first pizzeria in the United States and they still make a great pie - go to Lombardi's instead.

Read about the original Ray's here:

  2. www.raysfamouspizza.com

  3. Who even knows which one is the real original Ray's!

  4. 11th Street and 6th Avenue

Original Rays...no matter what anyone says!

  5. The oldest Ray's Pizza is on 27 Prince St.

The first "Famous Ray's", which started the trend of a Ray's on every corner, is on 6th Ave. and 11th. St.

So many different Ray's exist now - Famous Ray's, Original Ray's, Original Famous Ray's...your question is a little confusing because so many of the rip-offs have "original" in the name.

  6. Fugeddabowit. The best Slice in Manhattan is Joe's on Carmine St. near Sixth Ave.
