Ray Emery question?

Okay I didn't really pay attention to hockey this past season and I'm confused with what happened to ray emery. I thought he was a really good goalie but I was watchign sportscenter and I find out he did something ( I don't know what? What was it?) so now he doesn''t have a team anymore? I'm confused? thanks.

P.S. I'm a leafs fan not a sens fan btw.

  2. He was a big distraction and he was not a reliable player so the Sens bought him out.

  3. He's like Pacman Jones...an off-ice problem and wasn't the greatest goalie anymore so they didn't want him and let him go.

  4. On more than one occasion he acted like an unprofessional idiot last year and disrupted the team. He didn't play well and Ottawa felt he had become more trouble than he was worth. Details below.

    He's a free agent and any team that wants him can sign him, but once you get a rep, a lot of teams shy away.

  5. He was late to practice twice and pissed off once, so all their problems were blamed on him.  There might have been some behind the scenes stuff i didn't see but as far as i know that's it.  It didn't seem like a big deal to me.

As other say, he is cocky, doesn't show up to practice (which is only being claimed cause he missed 2 and was late to 1), he IS a very poor sport however and has been disruptive on the ice with fans and in the locker room at times.  The drug issue is full blown BS by the 1st poster who just doesn't like Emery.  Sens management found his disruptions too much to take so they sent him packing.

    To be honest I don't think he fits into the Canadian lifestyle in Ott, it is thought that Chicago, Tampa, and Washington are considering him.  Chicago and Tampa city life would most likely fit his lifestyle better than Ott.

    As a Lightning fan I have to say his goalie style fits in with our style of play very well, however I still do not want him and I personally do not think the new ownership won't see him as a #1 goalie compared to the available Huet and Kolzig.

  7. hes a locker room nuisance. hes the biggest drug trafficker this side of the equater, he was put on waivers, no one wanted him, so he was bought out.

  8. Long story slightly shorter, he's a punk, he got cocky last season so he decided he could be the Sens' Axl Rose but with like 1/462902th of the talent, didnt show up to practice, got a drug rap, now nobody wants him.

  9. He didn't show up to practices........all in all.....he's a punk. He IS a good goalie that is my problem. He has so much talent and potential but he has to be such a punk no one knows.
