  1. No he wasn't good ever.

  2. Ray Mercer was a good fighter with a good punch, good chin, and decent boxing skills especially his jab.  He had a little problem with stamina at times but was tough.  He nearly upset Lennox Lewis and brutally knocked out Tommy Morisson.  Career record of 25-7-1.

  3. Roy D. Mercer's about to come over there and whoop somebodys @$$

  4. Mercer was decent.  His strength was his ability to take punishment.  He was a tank.  He had decent skills but his biggest weakness was, like many of the "80s babies",  that he didn't like to train.  You couldnt hurt him though.

  5. probally a little better following The Boss Joe Hipp

  6. Ray Mercer was like  a Rhino He was the Olympic heavy weight Gold Medal-est .He started boxing late he was 27 years old when he got started and he was in the US Army. He was a throw back he was not good at any one thing but he was very determined fighter if you could avoid him you would because you knew it was going to be a long night. He got his first boxing lesson from Larry Holmes after Larry was over the hill but he still had enough to beat a prouder like Mercer I have a lot of respect for Ray IF HE WAS AROUND TODAY HE WOULD BE HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPION timing is everything.

  7. Yea. Ray Mercer was a 'good' boxer but he definately wasn't the best of his time. The early 90's was a superb time for the heavy-weight division.  Now its all washed up and the fighters of the heavy-weight division today don't represent the face of boxing like it did 10-15 years ago.

  8. no

  9. He was good for a time.
