Question:

Ray as a girls middle name?

The name "Ray" or "Raymond" has been in my family for practically ever. There are so many family members with that name on both my mother and fathers side that we have to make up names for some people so we know who we're referring to! And many more with "Ray" as their middle name. As a matter of fact, my middle name was almost "Ray", lol. So, I love the name Jordahn for a baby girl (don't request I change the spelling of "Jordahn", it has significance). But I'm not quite sure, does the name "Jordahn Ray" go good together?

  1. Jordahn Rae looks better to me, but you get an absolute yes! I love unisex baby names. They are adorable!!!!

  2. I love it! I am considering using Rae as a middle name if I end up having a girl, I love Sophia Rae. Jordan Ray sounds nice too, and I especially like that it will mean something beings that it's a family name.

  3. Jordahn Ray looks like a boy name.  If you're going to stick with the spelling of Jordahn, then feminise Ray into Rae.  Jordahn Rae is a lot softer and feminine looking than Ray.

  4. my middle name's Rae, and im a girl

but it's not short for raymond, it's like ray of sunshine :)

  5. I like it , but if you don't there's many things you could do with Rae. Rae Ann,Raelee, Rayne,Raeanna,or even Rachelle

  6. spell it Rae and then it is a girls name. I am actually onsidering naming my daughter Alyssa Rae or Alexa Rae, but I decided on Haylie Elizabeth

  7. my cousin hates that he rmiddle name is rae--shelly rae. i would go with jordahn rayne!!!!

  8. yes

  9. Ray / Rae is great as a girls middle name - you could consider Rayna / Raina / Raena as well if you wanted to?  Or to be more similar to Raymond what about Rayma / Raima / Raema

  10. I think the name Jordahn Ray is a bit too masculine. If it was my kid I might consider Jordyn Raylin or something.

FYI: Miley Cyrus's legal name was Destiny Hope Cyrus and she got it legally changed to Miley Ray Cyrus. Just so ya know!

  11. Please no, Ray is masculine, and changing the spelling will not affect that it will still be masculine. Paired with Jordan, she's always going to be assumed as a boy, instead of a little girl.

I suggest you save both Ray and Jordan for when you have a boy, since both are masculine. Jordan Ray would make for an adorable boy's name, not so much for a girl.

  12. Yes it sounds good .But when using that name for a girl it should be spelled RAE.

  13. no dont put ray in every single middle name

  14. Jordahn Rae

  15. Rae is the female version of Ray. I think Jordahn Rae is cute!

  16. Spell Ray as Rae and then you can use it easily. It's very pretty and feminine that way. I LOVE Rae as a middle name, it's beautiful!

I think Jordahn Rae is a great combination! Good luck!

  17. I like it

  18. my girlfriends middle name is Rae the feminine version of Ray, I mean you can always try Jordahn Rae if you wanted, I think it might work out pretty well.

  19. It works, but I would spell it Rae.

  20. don't like ray or rae but Ryan is the new "Ray" and it can be for a girl or boy.

  21. Rae is the feminine version of Ray.
