Raymond Domenech feels that the Bleuets (blueberries) have the ability to take the senior team to a new era of success in the future.
While talking to the media, the Frenchman says that the team is so talented that if they are unable to win against Norway tonight, it would be only because they might be cursed.
Although the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 have been touted as possible champions at the Euros next year, Domenech feels that the French youngsters do have the potential to become champions.
“When I see this team, it’s potential, talented players, yes, they will qualify. If you do not qualify against Norway, then we can say that they are cursed. Since I left the ‘Espoirs’, the team has got more potential. They have the means to be European champions.
“
Domenech is indeed impressed by what he has seen and says that playing in Ligue 1 consistently done these youngster a world of good.
The likes of Ali Ahamada (Toulouse), http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Lacazette-c4895, Clement Grenier (Lyon), Remy Cabella (Montpellier) and others have been playing in the Championnat regularly since last season which is the main reason why they have improved a lot.
“There is an exceptional goalkeeper (Ali Ahamada). He has everything to be a great goalkeeper in the coming years,” jokes Domenech.
The Frenchman is a great fan of Clement Grenier who is now playing regularly under Remi Garde at Lyon.
“There’s something more in the game. For me, he breathes football. Then, there’s Lacazette. He is dazzling, mature in the game and causes errors.”
He may not be a fan of astrology but Domenech’s words have been echoed by many people in recent months which only bodes well for the national side.
