Question:

Rays will make move before deadline?

I think Tampa Bay are likely to make a trade before the deadline and the possibility of Jason Bay coming over from Pittsburg seems plausible. The rays have a deep farm system and surely could give up a few young players for a solid right handed bat. Your thoughts?

  1. there idiots for releasing Josh Hamilton 3 years ago.  thats my thought.

  2. Jason Bay would be a good pick up. The Pirates are asking for 2 pitches and 1 good position prospect. That could be a lot for the Rays to give up.

  3. im a yankee fan so if your a rays fan than congrats on your rays. the rays are doing so well because they neevr had pitching and now they do. but i wonder how long the rays will remain in first or if they will collapse. if i am the rays i get a good bat like jason bay to help them through the rest of the way. becuase there bats are the weakest part of there game right now and in the past it was the only thing

  4. According to a high Pirates source as of today, heated discussions are being held with the Rays concerning Jason Bay. The Bucs want at least 2 high-level prospects (not necessarily pitchers), plus a mid-level one. Since the Rays have a ton of talent in their minor league system, they probably could get a deal done. It's also rumored that the Cardinals are interested in Bay, but I don't think they have the talent needed to acquire him unless they throw in a quality major leaguer. I'm just hoping Bay stays right where he is....
