  1. I have been on many RC ships and they are great and RC does great cruises.  If you are going to St Thomas US Virgin Islands you are going to the BEST place to shop in the Caribbean.  There is a huge shopping area right at the pier with a variety of stores.  Then when you go into town the streets are lined in downtown area with all of the name brand stores.  Its a shoppers paradise.

You can see the excursions offered at each port stop right online.  Just go online and find your cruise and click on excursions.  They will describe them and even allow you to book them in advance right on line.

I have never been to the DR so I cannot speak for what's there.  But I have been to RC's private island in Labadee, Haiti.  It is THE best private island I have ever been on.  Its not really an island but more like a peninsula that provides the appearance of an island.  Its is huge, has lots of trees and has beaches on both sides.  There is a free tram to take you from one part of the island to the other. You can swim, snorkel, jet ski, para-sail, or use the RC's ocean water park for a $5. fee.  There is one area that has a market with a couple building full of vendor stands where the locals sell their wares.  The ship's staff will bring food and drinks ashore for the day.  You will enjoy that stop.

  2. let me know when you get back...im going in May =)

  3. don't know but have lot of fun :)

  4. RCCL's website is the best source of information for shore excursions.  I've been to Labadee (the private island).  It's more of a private beach outing with some rustic shopping and lunch and beach games provided.    It was very beautiful there, and the weather was hot (in January).  There are some remnants of an old settlement you can walk through.  It's a relaxing stop, expecially if you like to hang out at the beach.  Enjoy your cruise!
