  1. Not the easiest to understand, but as I read it they are suggesting that the stallion cannot pass on a trait, in this case large heart unless he has a large amount of this in his ancestry. Basically saying some stallions are "odd balls".

    Guess I would agree that the more certain traits are found in a pedigree the more they are likely to be passed on...something that all breeders have known for just about ever.

    They also slag off Saddlers Wells, my hero !! who's best racing distance was 11.8 furlongs and produces good offspring at 12 furlongs,especially on going with a cut. Just look how Ballydoyle are doing with its offspring, two of which may run in the same race at 3-10 York on Wednesday. Alexandrova a foal of S.W. and Peeping Fawn whom I think will be the winner, who's dame was sired by S.W. Hopefully I can "nick" a good price !!!!!!!
