Re-4 waivers in the army?

i talked to a recruiter a couple weeks ago and she said that i can get a waiver so she sent it in but im just wondering how bad are the army needing people and how high of a chance do i have of getting in . also what type of things are they not willing to waive right now?

  1. It is possible, but it takes a lot of time.If you have anything under a general or honorable, it won't happen at all.

    It's mostly dependent upon your SPD code.This is the three letter code listed on your DD 214.

    For example, JJC is the code for desertion with court martial.

    You'll just have to wait and see.

    Usually an RE4 makes you ineligible for reenlistment.


  2. their standards have not changed.  RE4s are slim to none when it comes to Army waivers.  Only the National Guard even considers them on a case by case basis.  

    they won't waive all the things they never waived before.  especially drug and alcohol related.
