We've just been into town to get supplies we cant grow or produce ourselves.We were accosted by this guy who said can I ask you a few quetions?I said yeah why not!who's your electricity supplier,i told him General Electric!they made our generator so they're the suppliers,Who is your Gas supplier? Calor untill we produce our own!I see you shop at Tesco, on average how much do you spend on your grocery bill? we've spent a bit more than normal,its £12.76 normally its under £10! Have you double glazing, or are you thinking of purchasing D/G? not really we hav'nt got any windows!He stared at us.How would you describe your residence? Its a Barn!Abarn conversion? Isaid I would'nt go that far its a Barn its got a bedroom & an open plan Kitchen diner lounge shower,utility room /workshop! have you any of the following & read out his list? I said yes we have Sky, aLaptop T.V ,dvd player & a washing machine!IfIcould just ask your partner.Isaid you can but, shes deaf!he noded & left,well he did ask

Hmm... did he like your style of living then?  Was he asking it for the store or was he just a nosy parker?

My farmer often gets accosted in B&Q by people asking his advice on things... you must look like the self sufficient kind of guy!

Do not see how that is really a question... but to me anyway, it IS REALLY LIVING!!!!!  You get to live in nature and all her glory!!!!! A barn is great to convert. I helped friends convert one in NC.  Working together it could be made really nice. I have a great imagination and could turn one into a nice secure place for not a lot of money. But the key to survival and living is teamwork. You both need like goals and plenty of patience. You build and grow together.
