Was the cartoon graphics shown during the games a design by the Chinese, or was it set up by theBBC for our TV viewers?

  1. It was designed by Damon Albarn of Blur fame. He is also the creator of the cartoon band Gorillaz, which has the same sort of theme to it.


  2. The BBC Graphics Images of the Beijing monkey and the pig etc are entirely the creation of the BBC - just brilliant.  An artist pal of mine told me the name of the guy who did the graphics, but I forget.
