Question:

Re Built 2001 GSXR 600 5800 miles?

I am interested in purchasing this bike. The dealer wants 3900 for it. It has some scuffs on the sides and it looks like the front tire/fork may have been replaced, but seems to run good. It comes with no warranty.

Anyone have an opinion on this or rebuilt titles in general?

  1. You never want a bike that has been worked on too much. It can be a safety hazard. The only people who buy these bikes are stunters and people looking for parts. the stunters are just going to damage it more and the mechanics will just strip it for parts so it doesn't matter.

A general consumer should stay away from these kinds of deals. Any dealer or seller talking about how it's been rebuilt or upgraded is really saying, this bike was trash but we made it presentable enough to sell to some idiot who doesn't know any better.

  2. NOW LISTEN TO WHAT I TELL YOU,

it is VERY EASY to bend a motorcycle frame where the forks connect to the frame if the front wheel hits anything, and it is very hard to see this and REALLY hard to fix it correctly.

    So go find another bike.

  3. think you could do better.. than buying a wreck bike

  4. run away...dont walk. problematic junk.

  5. I agree with 'billcarr' and 'YZF750R'.From your short description that bike has been stuffed, walk away.

  6. Move on, the dealer knows something you don't.
