My first question wasn't answered correctly so I would like to re-state my words.

  1. The very first people to accept Christianity were the disciples and apostles.  After that were several thousand Jews on the day of Pentecost when Peter stood up and told them about the resurrection.  A short time later, several more thousand Jews accepted Jesus as Messiah.

  2. My first answer stands.

  3. the first people to be called Christians were Jews who followed Christ. Will you share this solid evidence that you have?

  4. When you say "which people" do you mean like, three guys, or a whole country, or what?

  5. The first people to accept Christ were the 12 apostles.  They were Jewish.  Jesus was Jewish, He lived and died in Judea and the Gallilee, which are today called Israel.  The apostles who followed Christ for 3 years only preached to the Jews.  It was Paul, who came along after the crucifixion that preached Christ to the gentiles.  (non Jews).  The first Christian church was the Coptic Church in Egypt.  If you have solid evidence, please share.

  6. The very first Christians were Jews.

  7. the first Christians were NOT jews they were heathens ( non Jews) who wanted to follow God

    hence John 3:16

for God so loved the world that he gave his only son so who ever beleiveth in him shell not perish but have everlasting life

    translation?

God loves the whole world. we all know that Jews are Gods chosen people. non Jews wanted to follow God so God sent Jess so that non Jews can go to pray to God through Jesus

  8. I have been told by some Armenian friends, that Armenia was the first nation to convert to Christianity as an entire people in the 2nd or 3rd century.

  9. The first converts were Jews and those directly around Palestine.  The apostles and disciples then went all over the middle east, and even further spreading the Word.  The first major groups of Christians outside of Palestine could have been a group in Syria.  I am not sure where ancient Antioch is located, which is mentioned in the NT very prominently as the first christian community outside of Israel.

  10. The disciples were the first Christians. Being a Christian means ,"To follow Christ", which the 12 did for a little over 3 years. On the day of Pentecost there were people from many countries in the upper room. On that day many became Christians.

  11. The Apostles were Jews...as was Christ.

  12. The Assyrians?  No, the 12 apostles.

  13. Look at Acts. The first Christians were the apostles.

  14. Did not answer correctly? Sorry bucko, you may need to do your own biased research then.

  15. Technically, the 12 Disciples were the first to accept Christianity, unless you count all the people baptized by John the Baptist before Jesus' ministry.
