Re-applying for Financial Aid after it was taken away?

I attended college for 2 years at a local community college before I was married. The last year I failed 2 of my classes due to some financial problems where someone had stolen my bank card and stole all my money. I didnt have money to even go back and forth to college since it was an hour drive everyday just 1 way. I tried to take classes again the following semester & still had trouble keeping up with bills so I dropped my classes. Since it was too late in the semester, it was a fail instead of a withdrawal from the class. I lost my financial aid for college. I tried to apply for a appeal but it got denied. I am applying for some scholarships as a Military Spouse that I was told I could receive. I had heard I could re-file for financial aid. And get it back of I meant income requirements. Is this true?

It depends on your situation, but generally if you do not meet the minimum GPA requirements they will put you on probation for a semester to raise your GPA... when you don't do that your fin aid is suspended until you can meet the minimum GPA requirements.  

In other words, take enough classes (and pass them) until your GPA is high enough for it to be reinstated.  I have known some students to go to a different school and get fin aid there.  But after a semester, they will look at your cumulative GPA to see if you raised it enough for the minimum.  Something to look into.
