Re audio x*x or............?

which should i get for my car? 2 jl w7 12's or 2 re audio x*x 12's? and why?

Any reason you want to spend so much money?  How is the front stage looking and can it keep up with the subs?

Either sub woofer mentioned will do well, but hype and brand name mumbojumbo mean nothing if the install is not done well.

I OWN both of those subs...W7 is no comparisson to loudnest and power as the x*x.  The drawback is that you need a good 2000watts to really sound and pound good.  It'll run off a 1200 watt amp no prob...but just not as loud.  The W7 is not a bad woofer...I have it loaned out to my friend...sounds muddier than my x*x...Even tho the W7 is really an SQ sub...the x*x is SQL.  The x*x's need a heavy duty box to hold them in...realize each sub is...what...90Lbs shipped from re (in the crate) ...minus the crate it may be around...75-80 pounds...I forget at the moment...so two of those you are looking at close to 160 pounds and you still need a decent box.  I would suggest 1.5" MDF or better.  And have them upfiring or downfiring....main reason for up or down fire is because those subs are heavy...I've blown an x*x 2006 model, because the coils were rubbing (had it rear fire...)

I am currently running a Fi BTL Sub and would say it is about as good as the x*x, and kills the w7 easily.

Anyway thats neither here nor there...but it too is a good sub...and is cheaper than the JL and x*x...

i've heard both of these subs. and i actually can't tell which one i like better. the  x*x has great power when it is matched with the right amp and you can get great sound aswell. same with the W7 it all depends what amp  you have to make it sound better than what you would get with any regular old amp. but styling wise i would go with the RE audio they really do look a lot better than the W7 when there side by side for that matter. the cone the magnet it set up very well.
