Re-building your credit after bankruptcy?

I claimed bankruptcy last December, how to I go about re-building my credit and getting a credit card again.

I am 25 years old if that info is needed. People tell me since I'm young ti will be easier re-building my credit. I don't know if that's true

  1. You'll need to start with a "secured" visa or mastercard. Meaning you put for example $500.00 in a savings account as security and the credit card company gives you a credit card with a $500.00 limit.

    Make your payments on time and you will be 1 step closer to mending your credit. It's gonna take you a few years to get an unsecured card with a decent rate.

    Did the BK experience teach you anything?


  2. if i was coming off a bk a credit card would be the last thing i would want -- but if you insist go out and get a secure credit card!!!
