I am due to be selling my car to a yard for scrap or whatever they want to do with it. How do I go about re-claiming my outstanding insurance and tax. I have about 8 months left on my insurance and 4 months tax. First of can I claim on both and how shall I go about it? Thanks

  1. You can download the tax refund form here (with instructions);

    You can't reclaim insurance - you'll need to suspend the policy & then start it again when you get another car. Some companies may actually offer a refund, but you'll need to get in touch with your insurers & ask.

  2. you need a form from the post office to reclam the tax and the insurance you need to speak to them as some of them you still have to pay for the year if you have entered an agreement with them (ie taken it out in instalments) or they may freeze it till you get another car

  3. Try to have as much information as you could perhaps is one of the options,however it is labor consuming,here is the place i have ever had good experience with.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...

  4. i am not sure weather you will get any money back of the insurance but the tax you can.you send your tax disc to the dvla and you get paid for every full month left on it

  5. I would like to recommend you possess as much information as you can before taking action,here is a good place for that purpose.http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ca...
