I was Reserve for 6 years and did 2 years Inactive reserve. I was in a construction unit. If I go back in I'd like to do something different. Does anybody have any info on reserve or guard units in Fort Worth? Also I've been out of my contract since 2004. Would I need to go back through basic?

  1. go to the state website and look up local reserve units look up VA services in your area the carreer or unemployment counselor will have all that info or the cheap easy answer is call the recruiters office its a differant story as a prior service you get some respect and more of the truth from the guys in the office also i wanted to go back as a recon marine but my age and separation time meant i wasnt a good canidate for that so i stayed home , usar and reserves 6 yrs 1977 to 1983

  2. orlando has good advice-----talk to the recruiters in the area in and around FT.Worth.

You won't have to go to BCT again.

I was A D Air Force for 4 years in the early 80's-----

joined the Army Reserve in 2002,didn't have to go to Basic.
