  1. Post your question on the forums at easypooltutor.com. There are people on there who set up tables for a living that may help you.

  2. Go to refelting.com and check it out. They give step by step instructions on how to recover a pool table. They have pictures to show how each step is done. My brother and I did his table this way and it turned out great and saved him some money. If you don't think you can handle it then by all means listen to Johnny and have a pro do your table. Just a couple of suggestions for ya, don't use felt , it's not any good for playing pool on. I recommend a good pool table cloth like Simonis. It's a little more costly but well worth it in the long run. And if you do have a pro do it for you have him check out the rails, they may need replaced and now would be a good time for that.

  3. It's easy. Start from the centre pockets when stapling. Then stretch it to the corners evenly. Tight put not to the point where the felt is unmovable. You should be able to put your fingers in the middle of the table and push to matting around and it moves a bit.

  4. I cover my own most of the time but you would be far better off to let a pro do it -If for no other reason if they mess it up they are out the material

you mess it up you start over with a couple of hundred more expense

And at least call it cloth

But for real hire a pro

  5. Call a bar, ask them who their game vender is and call them to find out a price.  If they charge you more then about $200 they are ripping you off.
