Doesn't matter the reason on why I need to rehome them. Just need some advice. I have about 7 tiels all fancy colors like whiteface cinnamon and yellowcheeks cinnamon pearls. And so on.

I bought most of my birds at well over $85 dollers. Some were $100 for just one bird and no cage or supplies.

I have had them for a few years now. But suddenly I cannot care for them. (keeping info private).

Anyways I have tried listing them on several different classifieds for $55 each with toys and cages included. But All i got were emails on how my price was ridicoulous and I should lower my price. ??

So my question is, IS MY PRICE too HIGH? And what other ways can I find to rehome my birds. I dont want them to go to a shelter and I'm in no rush to rehome. Are there any sites or how to I go about selling to the petsore?

  1. are you rehoming them with a cage ? if so then a good price would be 35.00 a piece and if they are older then you need to just give them away and not worry about a price . May I suggest you go and meet the ppl and see how they live before you agree to re home them to the interested parties . It is always good to make sure to see and meet the families and see how they live that way you can tell what kind of home they are going too . I wish you luck . I just re homed a pair with my cousin who has an outside aviary and they are so happy which should be the most important thing to you their happiness and their comfort . good luck .

  2. Personally if you are rehoming them then I don't think that you should get any money.  Please don't feel that I'm bashing you.  I know that things come up.  I would consider your birds rescue birds.  Oh and no pet store is going to buy them.  You can surrender them to a pet store and then they will make bunches of money off of them.  I suggest that you find a rescue group.  NOT A BREEDER!!!  You can put them on craislist but make sure that you say rehoming fee.  They are bad about flagging posts.  I would probably put on there small rehoming fee just to make sure they go to an experienced home.  And maybe 20 buck a piece.

People are just wary of people trying to sell them for profit.  I'M SAYING THAT YOU ARE DOING THAT.

I hope things work out and you find them a forever home.
