Question:

Re-lacing a Glove or Buying a new one?

My softball glove is in a sad state. I have the threads tied in about 4 different places and I'm wondering if it would be better for me to buy a new glove or get this glove re-laced? Also, does anyone know of a good place to get gloves re-laced in the Southeastern Massachusetts area?

  1. do not do it yourself!!! I tried to re-lace a glove once and it was never the same, it actually caused a few errors.

many leather shoe shops will do it.  there is one in Cumberland, RI, if that isn't too far.

i would recommend you just buy another one. stick with wilson or mizuno, they make the best leather

  2. I have a first-baseman's mitt and it is just over a year old. I got it re-laced and it is working perfectly. It has always been in good shape, though.

  3. Just buy a new one
