When shifting from forwared to reverse engine dies.

I disconnected the cutout switch that momentarly kills the engin

Now it will shift from forward to reverse but shifting is hard.

my question is.....is disabeling the cutout switch causing the hard shifting if so why????

  1. shift interupter has the be adjusted   also  look at the cables where the slide on the motor   a little grease will work wonders

    till the next tide


  2. Yes. The shift interuptor switch kills the engine momentarilly to help disengage the clutches in the drive. It sounds like your interuptor switch is just out of adjustment.
