Re4 chicago typewriter?

ive already cleared re4(wii) and also separate ways. after i beat separate ways there was a message that said i could already buy the typewriter but when i try to buy it at the merchant he doesnt have it.

i dont know if its a specific merchant or its becouse i started the game in pro before i cleared separate ways?

I'm pretty sure it can only be bought from a cleared game save file. You cannot buy it halfway through a pro game.
