The spin is apparent-what V.P. should be having problems w/their young daughter being pregnant out of wedlock?

Is this only showing how reality-based Palin is? Will she persevere as the underdog in this strategic attack?

wow, this is coming from the family values crowd that believes g**s are destroying the world and that s*x Ed. is bad. It shows that Republicans are the biggest group of hypocrits to ever exist. First you guys are all about the bill or rights and strict constructionist(but that falls down with wiretapping), you are also against g*y marriage and g*y rights(but you have senators looking for butt s*x in airport bathrooms) and now you have the "champion" for abstinence only education cause actual s*x ed. makes kids want to have s*x(But when her daughter gets pregnant before marriage it is alright). just admit Republicans are the biggest group of hypocrites ever.

I'm not a democrat, republican, liberal or whatever...but I really don't care about her daughter. If I liked what she could do for America, I'd vote for her. I like what Obama can do for America better, though, so I'm voting for him and Biden. Her unwed, pregnant, teenage daughter has nothing to do with it.

It's completely irrelevant, but I guess some people find it to be a convenient excuse for bashing her. People can't make mistakes or something? Pfft...whatever. Grow up, people. :) It's not like she was sitting there while her daughter was getting her bottom knocked out.

I think we might actually get some relevant discussions done if everybody just dropped the whole daughter thing, but instead we're going to have to flounder in irrelevant tripe for a while longer until everbody gets over it.

Anyway it looks like she is already admitting to the fact and telling the media, "So what?"

and it doesn't prove that abstinence education doesn't work... if the kids would actually listen and do then s*x out of marriage and all the consequences that come from it wouldn't be a problem now would it? the unrealistic part is assuming that all the kids are actually going to have self-control and self-responsibility to follow that value....

I feel that this whole thing is a mute point seeing as there isn't a family around these days that haven't faced teen pregnancy... :/

first I will state that I am a democrat.

the only thing i think about the palin girls pregnancy is that it is further proof abstinence only education doesn't work.

as for the personal side of it, teenagers often make lousy decisions and i feel bad that a 17 yr old has to live it out in public.

shes 17, pregnant, probably scared and she has a mother who tried to hide her like some dirty skeleton in the closet.

i just think it would have been easier on her daughter if they were just honest about the whole situation.

she isn't the first teen to get pregnant and she won't be the last.

Huh?  What problems are you perceiving with Bristol, it sounded to me that everything was in order there. Much as it would be for many families who face this all over the country. It means she can handle a family issue even while holding office. More power to her.

Obama atually handled this ,like everything else ,with class and utter grace and diplomacy.  He said families and esp. children should be off limits to scrutiny- I  am paraphrasing.  So don't blame Obama himself for what some of his supporters might be saying- all that people say are not under his control- like Rev Wright- but hear how he responds.
