It takes 2 to 3 hours from NJP (new jalpaiguri)to Darjeeling. So you can reach Darjeeling in the evening.

Spend 27 and 28 in site seeing. 29th morning  for for Tiger hill sunrise. After returning leave for Gangtok.

Gangtok is 120 km from Darjeeling. Spend evening in Gangtok market. 30th go for one day conducted tours for 7 point or 10 point around Gangtok.

1st morning leave for NJP.

Spend some time in Hong kong market if you have time.

The reverse to what Swapan has suggested is better, since Darjeeling is more connected and there would be no issues of getting stuck in a land slide or something.  Therefore less tension.

But if you are not so worried, swapan has answered it well.

I have never been to Darjeeling but I drove from Siliguri to Gangtok in the first week of February 2003. It's a four hour drive. Please visit Tsomgo (pronounced as - Changu) Lake and Nathula. It's worth seeing. But be prepared to get stuck up and for delays as the area beyond Gangtok city will be fully covered with snow. Visibility in the afternoons also becomes very poor.

Keep at least 3 days for a Siliguri-Gangtok-Siliguri trip.
