Read Copland's What to Listen for in Music?

Have you read it? I just want to know your thoughts. It's a great book. If you haven't, I recommend it for music students!

i read it 22 years ago, it changed FOREVER how i listen to all music!

ps  RE; marching band question, come to california. there is no down south grambling throwback shuck n jive marching bands & the only high stepper left is USC

yeah we read this in our music wind ensemble class. It did change the way i listen to music now. Great book.

I even took notes from it that i take to my music classes just to remind me sometimes.
