I dont care - search them and charge any carrying weapons and report their families to Social Services. Also how about if they are immigrants kids the whole family is sent packing? Why do we have to pick up other countries problems?

I just feel like the UK has its pants down on the Human Rights right now - lets get a safe society first

  1. Why are there not more people like you. you are 110% right.

  2. WOW, that completely violates human rights is my first thought. Then I asked myself, how would I feel if one of my family members were hurt/killed by a kid carrying a knife that decided it was time to rob or hurt someone? This is a very touchy issue. That definitely wouldn't fly here in the US, except for in the schools. To think about how world has changed to the point we have gotten to is really blamed on society though, our actions dictate the outcome of everything. We only have ourselves to blame. Maybe if the law enforcement came down harder on the parents for certain things then we wouldn't have to worry about the youth running wild, so to speak.

  3. The real problem is human rights preventing the Police from criminal profiling.

So the Police are forced to search working white people and kids returning from Sunday school.

However,we know and the Police know, which particular ethnic group are responsible for virtually all of these crimes.

Isnt that a complete waste of police resources?Searching people they know to be innocent once the quotas for searching particualr ethnic groups are full.

That isnt real policing, that is simply providing  lip service to public concern because to challenge the issue could potentially create unrest within certain ethnic communities.

So the governments answer is to pretend to address it and allow more kids to be killed.

The police should be allowed to racially profile without fear of repercussions. If particular ethnic communities take offence, then perhaps they should be trying harder to stop their kids carrying weapons in the first place.

  4. Not a bit.Not only should knives be confiscated, but the carrier should be taken straight to a labour camp for at least 12 months so they could learn to live like human beings. No trial,no excuses. To h**l with their 'human' rights.

  5. NO! the obsession  certain highly paid lawyers with rights seems to indicate that the rights of the wrongdoer are more important than the right mind person.

surely if a person commits a crime they have already limited someones rights and so rightly lose a portion of theirs. to say a murder cannot be expelled for fear they may face the death penalty is absurd they have already deprived someone of that right so cannot morally claim that in defence.

I would rather someone gets 'pissed off' about being harassed for knives rather than allow someone to carry one and stab someone - perhaps someone you love!

  6. I think if stop & search tactics are used & youths are getting annoyed by it then, tough. If searching can save even one person from being stabbed then it will be worthwhile. The only ones that will geta nnoyed are those that probably already carry a weapon of some sort.

First they are carrying knives, then its guns & then its just a hop & a skip to being like America where kids are shooting other kids in schools & colleges.

Anything that discourages the carrying of weapons, no matter who it ticks off, can only be a good thing.

  7. Search them 'til they squeak. Keep doing it 'til the knife and gun culture is eradicated. Then start again for "just in case"

Sod their feelings. If they are not carrying knives they should be happy in the knowledge that something is being done, thus making it safer for every one. Human rights, What about mine??????

  8. At the end of the day, what reason would anyone have for carrying a weapon other than to use it.

"For my own protection" is a fallacy. Protection from someone else who is also carrying? How very bright. Soon every Tom d**k and Harry is carrying to protect themselves from everyone else, and all you have to do is say 'Boo' and it kicks off.

Meanwhile, I'd much rather take a knife than take a life. Sure, come stab me. At least I won't have to live to regret it.

You don't wanna know how many times I've been stop searched. It takes 2 minutes, and isn't exactly invasive. Although I do have to laugh at the police. While they choose to search me (once it was in my own garden, of all places), there must be a fair few people carrying something illegal, walking straight past and rubbernecking.

Do I care? No. They've got a job to do. I'm willing to help out, if it keeps them happy. I've got nothing to hide, so it simply does not bother me.

    ((((hugs))))

  9. My kids are grown up now, but I'd rather have seen them and all youngsters searched on a daily basis than have them walk round the corner and bump into someone carrying a knife and who is quite happy to use it.

It's crazy.  And despite what someone has said, it cuts across ALL ethnic groups, there is no one group to blame.

  10. I want kids to be searched for knives and other offensive weapons.

I don;t give a flying hoot about their human rights when it comes to safety. Sadly we are living in a growing knife/yob culture in which these steps now need to be taken to try and help combat the idiots that carry these weapons.

I don;t care if my sons get searched. Search them.

    Agree with you Private

  11. Well said Ralph!!! It won't kill them to be searched, and if they have nothing to hide, even better. It's time we thought of the innocent victims for a change, and stopped pandering to the bloody criminals. I'm just about sick of this "soft touch" society we live in.!!!

  12. If evrybody wasen't so bogged down by the "RIGHTS" of the uneducated few then maybe we could go back to teaching kids a bit of respect for others

  13. I  know  someone  who  got  arrested  for  nothing.  When  he  was  in  the  police  station  a  policeman  was  threatening  to  beat  him  up  severley  if  he  didn't  pick  up  a  knife  they  had  waithing  for  him.  They  wanted  his  fingerprints  on  it.  I  don't  need  to  carry  a  knife,  but if  i  got  my  hands  on  a  weapon,  any  weapon,  glass  ,  brick ,  metal,  wood,  i'm  looking  to  cause  maximum  damage.
