Reading Books for a 10 year old???

My niece loves to read chapter books could you suggest a few good ones?????

Around that age I read a book called "Sort of Forever". It is about two best friends who have always had each others back, and when one of the best friends couldn't stick up for herself, her friend always helped her out and defended her. However, one day they find out the tough friend has cancer and the other friend has to learn how she can be the strong one and be supportive. It is a great book. It is mean for preteens, and it isn't a huge book, but it isn't tiny. The girls in the book are around the age of 10.
