Reading Station?

Im going from Plymouth to Coventry by train and i think i will have to change at Reading station. I was just wondering if its a big station? This is my first long train journey and i will be alone so im abit nervous. Is it easy to find what platform to be on?

  1. You will probably get off at platform 3. If you ask some staff about where and when the Coventry train is going from they will be happy to help. There are escalators to platforms from the overhead walkway. There are announcement boards on all platforms to tell you which trains are arriving and departing. Have a safe journey.


  2. It is also possible, and probably more sensible to go via Birmingham.  Trains to Coventry from Birmingham go every 15 minutes, from Reading every hour, so if you miss your connection you will not have too long to wait for the next one.

  3. It's fairly big (maybe six platforms or so), but there will be railway staff around to help you find the platform for the Coventry train.
