Reading glasses ok for me?

i have normal eyesight. but i got a great job that requires me to stare at a computer for 8 hours each day...at tables and tables of tiny numbers (which can't be enlarged) it is starting to hurt my eye sight. also i've noticed when reading (before my job) that my vision would sometimes get blurry. but i only have this problem when reading or looking at the computer.

question: would reading glasses help this? could i get the kind you find in a drug or department store? would wearing them while reading worsen my vision when i am not wearing them/reading?

i'm 21

  1. First you should make sure whether you are hyperopic or presbyopic. Hyperopic glasses help you see up close better as well as distance better as well most cases (Meghan, my friend, is proof!). Presbyopic glasses, or reading glasses, only help you in the close-up department and everything is completely blurry when you wear them for distance!

I would go to an eye doctor and get my eyes checked if I were you! Then you'll find out if you're hyperopic or need reading glasses. If, by any chance, you DO need reading glasses, be sure to buy the right  + prescription at the drugstore or wherever else. Most drugstores have quite a variety, so have fun.

    HOPE I HELPED!

  2. No do not try to buy glasses go to a licensed eye doctor.  Your eyes are strained and he can prescribe "computer glasses" also, it has been found that when we are looking at a computer we tend to blink less causing your eyes to dry and blur try blinking more and using eye drops but go to an eye doctor.
