I've seen people do this. A Greek women claimed to have a gift to read coffee grounds. I found it bazaar.

What are they reading exactly? Do they claim to see images like in a crystal ball?

  1. As with the crystal ball, horoscopes, etc. it's just cold reading and a lot of vague guessing.

  2. They're reading absolute squat. What people like that woman do is feed off gullible people and rip them off. If they know what they're doing is a fraud, they're low-lives. If they don't know what they're doing is a fraud, they have a mental illness. Tea leaves and coffee grounds have no supernatural powers, but if these fraudsters feel up to proving their abilities, why not go over to http://www.randi.org and get a million dollars?

On the other hand, if you can make a living off looking at trash and "reading" imaginary c**p, where can I sign up?!

  3. I am gifted at reading Koolaid crystals and belly button lint. I charge a dollar a minute to reveal the secrets of the unniverse. Simply log onto: IGOTAKEN.COM.

  4. This is my understanding of how it works. They pour you some tea/coffee that had grounds in it. you drink it. Then they look in the cup to see what shapes the grounds have made and where they are located on the cup.

Each symbol contains a different meaning, and where it is located on the cup applies to different aspects of your life.  - like a time frame.

Its not like scrying with a crystal ball as they don't see images and visions. Its more about interpreting shapes. Kinda like palm reading.

For example, I had it done once for fun and there was a triangle-ish shape near the bottom of my cup. She said that meant I would likely be moving in the near future.

    I hope that helps. :)

  5. Hi justhanging...Reading coffee grounds is similar to palm reading, tarot, etc. It's a divination act. The coffee grounds form intuitive images/symbols from the person that drank it. It's just another way to read a persons future event/s.

  6. I AM GREEK AND IT IS BASICALLY LIKE PALM READING BUT WITH COFFEE GROUNDS.I ALSO FOUND IT TO BE BAZAAR WHEN MY PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS DID IT.
