Reading the notes????????

Hi, I'm playing this song and I'm having quite a bit of trouble understanding it because I am a beginner.

The sheets to the song have these little square boxes (that are gridded). What do they mean? Do I play them or no? These sheets have been scanned so I can't really read what the letters on top of the little squares say...

  1. Chord frames, fret frames, guitar frames ... whatever you want to call them. They are a guide for guitarists who can't read music to finger the chords to the music.

  2. Hi ,

These boxes only illustrate the applied chords on each part , they could be omitted.

They could be beneficial for better understanding with the chord names for beginners , however , you have nothing to do with these boxes in playing, you just have to read the piano notes.

    Good Luck.
