Question:

Ready to have a baby?

I am 19 and my boyfriend is 23. I have had a management position for two years and my boyfriend has a steady job at a company. We both recieve benefits through our careers.

In the past year we moved out of our apartment and into his grandfathers estate. We do not pay rent here. It was either we move in or he had to move to an assisted living center. His family (who is in charge of his grandfather and his decision and wellbeing) asked us to move in (not to care for him but rather just make sure he is still breathing).

My boyfriend and I have been been talking about having a baby for awhile now. I do not want to feel like living here is putting a pause on my life. I would love to have a child now, we are financially stable, and have a healthy relationship.

We are living here as a favor to his family and I do not belive we should put our life on hold for this. Do you think I should have to ask his families permission to have this child? There is extra room here. Thanks

  1. Get married first.

and obviously your not fiunancially stable if you live with your grandma!

    so no

    find a house

    get a job

    go to college

    get married

    and baby time!

  2. What I would suggest doing is, tie the knot with your Boyfriend, Have a Place of your own then have a baby!

  3. well its really guud that you two are financially stable and love eachother, but my suggestion is to get married first so that u know that you'll be together forever. that way when ur children get older u can set a guud example for them.

    i hope that helped=)

  4. Well congratulations for wanting to take that step! You shouldn't ask for the family's permission on the matter, but you should ask them if they would be comfortable with you having a baby in his house while "looking after" the grandfather. If the family is fine, then go for it. If they're not, then sit down with your boyfriend and discuss whether it would be worth it to have a baby there when the family is not approving of it. Hope that helps!

  5. It sounds like you are on the right road, which is awesome so why not? I don't think you should put your life on hold. who knows, you might be there much longer than expected. As long as theres room for a baby you should not ask permission from the family. Remember, you are doing them a favor.
