Ready to spend some time in the water this summer ...?

Question

Looking to get back into the water this summer, it has been 25+ years since my last extending sessions (other than a few days at Waikiki over the years).

I will be in Santa Cruz at Pleasure Point, The Hook, Sharks ...

I have been going to Santa Cruz my entire life and I would like to buy a board from a local shaper to support the great tradition of Santa Cruz surfing. I want a good all around longboard, 9 - 10 feet ... I weigh 200 lbs.

Thoughts?
