Real Betis youngster Alvaro Vadillo ruled out for six months – La Liga News
Arthroscopy scans on Real Betis youngster http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Álvaro-c5280 Vadillo confirmed the worst fears of Real Betis fans. The seventeen-year-old has been ruled out of action for the next six months after suffering an injury at Santiago Bernabéu.
Vadillo had "completely frayed and torn" anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, so he will be out for the next six months.
The procedure started at 9:00 am and lasted 55 minutes. It was found out that the ligament was torn and the only way forward is to utilize the fabric of his own patellar tendon.
However, the good news is that the intervention was made on time and did not touch the meniscus of his right knee, which would have worsened his impairment.
Presiding doctor, Dr. Santiago Perez Hidalgo said: "I am totally optimistic and confident that in five or six months, Vadillo will be playing football". He added that the knee "has been stabilized, pretty neat."
The doctor has estimated that Los Beticos youth product will be able to walk without crutches in about six weeks, and can begin working with the club a month later.
He will now join Betis from FREMAP Hospital of Seville next Saturday, beginning the outlined rehabilitation program on Monday.
Alvaro became the youngest player for Betis when he made his La Liga debut on the opening day of the campaign.
His ability to hold the ball on the wing, and aid in team attacks. Blessed with a pace and an immaculate touch, has lead to comparisons with Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Injury against Los Blancos was a blow to the youngster who has been a supporter of the capital club since childhood.
