What is the best place in the USA / or world, that has the best price/rent ratio?... I can initially invest 10-15K .... I heard that in Buffalo there are houses that cost around 17.000 and are rented for 400-500 USD (the explanation I am told is the people are getting state aid and that involves a long procedure for them to rent a home and they pay the rent by this aid and stay for a long time in the house)... Is it true?... and are there such places where yearly rental income is 20 - 25 % of the price?....

In the USA, the midwest has the best price/rent ratios.

Generally houses that cost 17,000 need repairs and updates to get the best tenants

The state aid (or Federal) programs involve a lot of requirements and restrictions on you as the owner.

Prices/rent in those ranges often include more maintenance and vacancy.

I am able to hit 20% with some of my houses in Dayton, OH. I hit 24% once. 15% is common on the houses I track down.
