Real Madrid's President Florentino Perez aims next for the UEFA Champions League
Real Madrid's President Florentino Perez has stated that the UEFA Champions League is the club’s next target after winning the Copa del Rey on Wednesday. He expressed his delight on Madrid’s first piece of silverware since 2008 and
insisted that the players should focus on the Champions League clash against the rivals, Barcelona.

the Angel Di Maria's cross to give his side a deserved victory.
Perez claimed that Madrid had the better first period, whereas the opposition had better chances in the second-half. He said that Madrid were outplayed after the interval by Barcelona, but the Whites also missed some great gifted
opportunities to score also.
“In the first half, we were the better team, but they [Barcelona] were better in the second. We went missing in the second half, but Di Maria could have scored and Ronaldo too. Playing a game in a final is always special, and against
Barcelona, there was a bit of tension,” the President was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Spaniard has now set his sights on winning the Champions League. He admitted that the main focus of the team should be reaching Wembley. He revealed that a win at Wembley in the final would be brilliant for the club as they have
not won the competition since 2002.
“Now we have to get the final of the Champions League and win it – that would denote a good season,” Perez concluded.
Real Madrid will face Barcelona for the third time in a matter of 10 days in the first-leg of the semi-final of the Champions League on Wednesday, April 27 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Madrid giants have had a great season under the coach, Jose Mourinho. They have won the Copa del Rey and are still competing in the Spanish La Liga and the Champions League.
