Real Madrid adds more talent to itself- Rafael Vaart eying Manchester United
With the latest signing, Mesut Ozil has made it to the Real Madrid’s squad list. The team already includes players such as Canales, Pedro Leon, Andel Di Maria and Sami Khedira. With all of these mid-fielders, it seems as if the star amongst them Rafael Van der Vaart won’t get much chance to play this summer.
Read Madrid’s new boss Jose Mourinhi has brought about numerous changes in the club’s technical department. He also further strengthened his team through the inclusion of a number of alimented players who further add talent to the squad. Alonso’s and Ronaldo’s places seem permanently cemented while the atmosphere smells of Kaka’s comeback. These are the so called ‘three permanent’ midfielders in the team. For the fourth midfielder position, the main contenders are Khedira and Ozil who could even be battling for it in the case Ronaldo gets used as a striker and not as a midfielder. But, even if Ronaldo is used as a striker that still doesn’t leave the spot for easy pickings as the team is full of talented players choosing from whom could prove to be a difficult task.
Real Madrid provides a long list of names that can come in as midfielders. The list goes something like the following:
Mahamadou Diarra
Fernando Gago
Royston Drenthe
Lass Diarra
Pedro Leon
Sergio Canales
Sami Khedira
Angel Di Maria
Rafael van der Vaart
Mesut Ozil
Cristiano Ronaldo
Kaka
Xabi Alonso
Cristiano Ronaldo
With such an amazing line up, it’s very hard to find the best. For most clubs, the division between the good and the bad players is clear and when times get desperate, they bring out their big guns. But a team like Real Madrid seems to have only big guns and when times get desperate for them they pull out their ‘canons’.
Meanwhile, der Vaart, while talking to the reporters said that he would never want to play for any other club in Spain, other than Real Madrid. However, he added that there is only one club to join after Real Madrid and that is the Manchester United, which is another big club, if not the biggest out there. He said that if ever this club showed an interest in him he would certainly consider their offer. He asserted that if the United would promise him a spot in their first team like Real Madrid did then it would be an offer hard to turn down. However, it is presently thought that Sir Alex Ferguson has frozen his transfer accounts for this summer after his last move of signing Bebe to the United squad.
