Real Madrid and Barcelona in for shock deal
Real Madrid and Barcelona are apparently in line for a shock swap deal between, Kaka and Ibrahimovic. The new Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho has told the directors at Madrid that they need to make a move for the Barcelona striking sensation and goal scoring wonder Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He has said that they should pounce on the player whenever they get the chance to, he also stated that he knows that the deal would be close to impossible to pull off, which is why he has willingly added Kaka to the deal.
According to the El Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho want’s to bring in Ibrahimovic to replace the misfiring Karim Benzema. Benzema is currently also involved in matters outside the football field and his future as a player is now strongly being doubted.
Mourinho has previously coached Ibrahimovic at Inter Milan and would have no problems in getting the best out of the goal scorer, which is something the current Barcelona coach, Pep Guardiola has failed to do.
Mourinho has realized that there is no traditional or perfect number nine player in the Real Madrid squad and feels that Ibrahimovic is the man to perform that task. Having always had an eye for strong powerful and physical strikers like, Didier Drogba during his Chelsea days and Diego Milito during his days as the Inter and is now looking to bring in Ibrahimovic during his term as Real Madrid boss.
He has huge hurdles ahead of him, considering the fact that Ibrahimovic has repeatedly told the media and press that he has grown sick and tired of hearing rumors about him leaving Barcelona. He has also insisted that he wished to complete the remaining four years of his contract at Barcelona and would hope for a contractual extension in the future.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has also confirmed his client’s stance on the situation by saying the same thing. He has also said that Ibrahimovic does not feel alarmed or threatened by the addition of Spanish goal scoring sensation David Villa to the Barcelona squad.
Mourinho however has plans of his own and is looking to test Barcelona’s resolve by offering Kaka as a swap or trade of, having already known the history of rivalry between the clubs and the fact that neither one of the two teams will be too keen on a trade between the players, Mourinho has still insisted that this would be the best for both teams.
Deals between the two teams have hardly ever taken place and almost always ended in controversy. The transfer would be very tempting to both teams since the coaches on both the teams don’t see either player as being a part of their overall plans for the coming season. A move for or offloading both the players could be the best possible option for both the players and both the clubs.
Ibrahimovic’s constant claims that he doesn’t not want to leave however might result in both the teams losing out on what could have been a pretty decent tradeoff between the clubs.
