Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho hints at possible Chelsea return
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that the best period of his managerial career was when he was the head coach of reigning English champions Chelsea. The enigmatic Portuguese has three years left on his current contract with Spanish giants Real
Madrid, but that hasn’t stopped Mourinho from dropping hints of a possible early exit from the Bernabeu.
Jose Mourinho had earlier stated that he would like to return to the Barclays Premier League after the end of the current La Liga season. At the time, the manager claimed he did not care which team he coached in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, as long as he got a chance to return
to his old hunting grounds. However, with his new comments, it seems that Mourinho is considering a sensational move back to Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho spent more than three years at Chelsea, quickly establishing himself as a favourite amongst the fans by leading the London club to their first Premier League title in over 50 years. After a public falling-out with owner Roman Abramovich, Mourinho
left the club in September 2007, joining http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan in the summer of 2008.
At the end of a historic season with the Italian giants, in which he won the treble of the Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions league, Mourinho took over the reins at Real Madrid in the summer of 2010.
When asked whether he would honour his four year deal with Real Madrid, Mourinho remained non committal. The Galacticos boss replied, “I don't know. I love http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. I was the happiest man [when there]. I was thinking to be there all my life and a few months
later, I was out. So you never know. In Inter Milan I found an incredible family. Then after two years I felt it was over.”
Mourinho has had a tough time settling in with Real Madrid. There have been reports of a power struggle within the club, something that the Portuguese manager is famously intolerant of. However, Mourinho made it clear that he would try his best to make things
work at the Bernabeu. He said, “When I sign a contract, I sign with the intention to respect the contract and be happy.”
However, given Mourinho's track record over the past five years, it seems very unlikely that the manager will indeed stick around in Spain.
