Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho says will miss Sir Alex Ferguson – Football news
Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 manager and current Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho has said that he will miss Manchester United’s Alex Ferguson following the Red Devils boss’ announcement of retirement.
The Portuguese manager is amazed at how long the manager went on to serve as manager of the Red Devils, and feels that there are very few managers out there who can even think about competing with his success rate. Mourinho also admitted that the impact
that Ferguson has had, is something that is not easy to achieve, and that it is not going to be matched by anyone any time soon.
When talking about Ferguson, the Portuguese manager said, “We will all miss him and, for me, it will be difficult to go to Old Trafford, especially for the first time, to play against Manchester United without such a figure in the opposite dugout. He is
unique and probably Manchester United are a unique club because they gave the manager the conditions to do the job he did.”
“Everybody knows that the beginning was not easy for him. Everybody knows that it took him three or four years to win the first piece of silverware and United gave him the conditions to do an incredible http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. After that he was unique, absolutely unique,”
Mourinho added.
It was previously believed that Mourinho would be the man to replace Ferguson, should the manager ever decide to call it quits on his career. However, that has not proven to be the case as Everton’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes has been appointed as Ferguson’s successor
at Old Trafford.
Nonetheless, Mourinho could soon see himself facing off against Manchester United once again, considering the fact that the manager is currently being favoured to make a return to the Premier League with Chelsea.
Mourinho is going to take pride in the fact that the last time Ferguson faced off against his team (Manchester United vs Real Madrid in this season’s Champions League), it was Mourinho who went on to pick up the win.
Given the fact that these two managers were two of the biggest rivals in the Premier League's history, it is nice to see Mourinho put his differences aside to honour the outgoing manager.
