Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho uncertain about future, hints at Chelsea return reveals wish to manage Manchester United
Recent reports reveal Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho, could be nearing a Stamford Bridge return after speculation that current Chelsea boss, Carlo Ancelotti, would be sacked at the end of the season.
The Portuguese manager had spectacular success with the London side in his four years with the club, but left mid-season by mutual consent in 2007 after a row with owner Roman Abramovich.
However, the Russian billionaire seems to have put his ego aside and is ready to ask Mourinho to come back. Even though Ancelotti had a terrific first season with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, leading them to their first ever double, English Premier League, and, the FA Cup,
the Italian has failed to win anything this season. The trophy-less season may very well be Ancelotti’s ticket out of Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, Abramovich is on the look-out for a replacement and so far has Jose Mourinho, Guus Hiddink, Frank Rijkaard, Marcello Lippi and Rafael Benitez on his list. The favourite amongst these remains Mourinho, who is the most successful Chelsea
manager up to date.
It has also been rumoured that Mourinho is planning to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season despite having signed a three year contract with the La Liga giants.
When asked if he could make a return to the London side at the end of the season, Mourinho hinted it was a possibility but refused to confirm or deny anything. He said while speaking to reporters, “I don't know. I love Chelsea. I was the happiest man [when
there]. I was thinking to be there all my life and a few months later, I was out. So you never know”.
Even though he insisted he had every intention of honouring his contract with Madrid, the Portuguese manager seems very close to an exit. I sign with the intention to respect the contract and be happy”.
When linked with a move to Manchester City, Mourinho was quick to deny any links, he said, “Me to Manchester City? That’s impossible”.
However, he has expressed his desire to manage English Premier League giants, Manchester United, after current manager, Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down. That could be a long wait for Mourinho since Ferguson seems to be going strong.
The Scotsman, who is on the verge of leading his side to their 19th title, has not indicated when he will be giving up his post. He said, “Jose is a great friend of mine. We’ve spoken many times about his future and I understand his wish to return

With the season drawing to a close and Mourinho already having beaten La Liga rivals Barcelona to claim the Copa del Rey, he has an opportunity to make it to the final of the UEFA Champions League.
Mourinho will once again be facing Barcelona in the semi-finals, the result of which will determine how long Mourinho will be staying at the Bernabeu.
