Real Madrid great Alfredo di Stefano first inductee into FIFA Hall of Fame
Real Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano, honorary president of the club, is to be inducted into the newly created FIFA Hall of Fame.
The FIFA Hall of Fame is located in Pachuca, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mexico-c2956, and Di Stefano has been bestowed with the honour of being the first person inducted into the Hall of Fame.
The Spanish-Argentine former player is one of the greatest legends to have graced international and club football.
Di Stefano, 85, a former River Plate and Hurricane player, is widely considered as the most distinguished player in the history of Real Madrid.

The Buenos Aires-born attacking forward played 510 games for Real Madrid, scoring 418 goals, and also starred for Espanyol and Columbian club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Millonarios-c39919.
Di Stefano’s glittering 11-year career with the Capital club from 1953 to 1964 was trophy laden. With his goalscoring exploits, the legendary marksman led Los Blancos to five European Cup titles and eight La Liga triumphs.
For his efforts for Real Madrid, the Argentine was also awarded the prestigious Ballon d’Or award on two occasions.

“I am very happy for this and I am very grateful for the gesture, even though you are nothing individually in football. This is a collective sport and no one is better than the rest. You must have a good team in order to achieve things.” A humble Stefano
stated.
Di Stefano was born in a family of Italian immigrants. He represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and Columbia at the international level. However, he never graced the playing fields in a World Cup.
Real Madrid have the lead over other club teams in European competitions with nine gongs. All this started in his hay day when he lifted the famous trophy five times, famously scoring a brace in the inaugural final.
In addition to the Hall of Fame, FIFA has also opened an interactive museum and a high-tech centre where fans can become players, if only for a day.
