Brazilian midfield maestro, Kaka, has expressed that it is imperative for Los Blancos to continue their winning ways in order to win the Spanish La Liga.
The attacking midfielder has called on his team mates, exclaiming that they have to maintain their current form and keep focus in the coming weeks. The Real Madrid star insisted that it is vital for Jose Mourinho’s men to stay on the right track.
Kaka started the match against Espanyol over the weekend.
The Spanish giants faced the Catalan outfit at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday and emerged 5-0 victors after an entertaining performance.
The hosts were simply on top of their opposition and thrilled the home audience with a wonderful display of football.
With Madrid thrashing Espanyol in the league fixture, Kaka found himself in top form.
The Brazilian international managed to find an answer for his critics as he was one of the most prominent Madrid players in Sunday’s match.
Kaka was among the scorers for the host team, finding the back of the net with the help of a Gonzalo Higuain assist.
The former AC Milan midfielder was also the assister for both the goals scored by Gonzalo Higuain, in the second half.
Sunday’s victory has helped Mourinho’s men maintain their position at the top of the Spanish Primera Division’s league standings as they remain 10 points clear of second-place Barcelona.
Although Kaka had injury troubles since joining the Spanish giants from AC Milan in 2009, the 29-year-old is finally finding his feet on the ground while playing under Jose Mourinho.
After the win against Espanyol, Kaka said:
"This was a special night, we have to continue picking up points because we have an opponent [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604] who is very competitive,” the former AC Milan player told reporters.
"I was able to do what I wanted to do. This match will give me a lot of confidence. Let's see if I can keep up this level. I think that we are the ones who make a match hard or easy. We were aware of what we had to do and we made the match easier.
We are all happy."
Real Madrid’s next match will be against Real Betis on Saturday.
