Real Madrid have finally agreed to put Kaka on sale after failing to impress during his spell at the Spanish club.
Reports suggest that the 29-year-old will be up for sale in the upcoming January transfer window.
Jose Mourinho’s side are ready to let go of their second most expensive signing in history, and they have reportedly demanded 22 million Pounds for the Brazilian star.
The prolific attacking midfielder joined Madrid in the summer of 2009 from AC Milan. Los Blancos had to pay a whopping sum of 55 million Pounds for the Brazilian international, the highest payment made for a player before http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629 was signed for
80 million Pounds.
However, to dismay of the Madrid faithful, Kaka failed to live up to the expectations associated with him. His performance with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit was hardly satisfactory, as injuried haunted his stay throughout the first season.
Kaka suffered several injuries and fitness issues. These issues kept him out of action and also contained him from establishing himself as an important part of Madrid’s starting line-up.
Mesut Ozil was able to take that role instead and the German star was able to shine in the centre of the pitch.
The Whites have demonstrated their plan to sell Kaka for a considerably low fee, and the former World Player of the Year has already gained attention of many European clubs.
According to the Daily Mail, a Real Madrid source has revealed:
"Kaka has always interested other clubs and Mourinho has decided that he has far better options in midfield so the best thing to do is to move him on.”
The source also gave an approximate transfer fee for the player and said:
"There has been no concrete offer but it is now known that the club would accept an offer in the region of £22 million."
