Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho claims he will end Barcelona's domination in Spain
Jose Mourinho, the Real Madrid manager, has stated that he is the man who will end Barcelona's domination and strong foothold in the world of Spanish football, while at the same time reminding everyone that he is not Harry Potter.
Mourinho has a reputation of being referred to as the ‘Special One.’ He gained this status when he took over at Chelsea after having won the Champions League with Porto. He has now taken over at the Bernabeu in hopes of reigniting
Real Madrid's former glory and helping them regain their status of being the finest team in Europe.
The manager seems to already have a definition for success at the club and in a recent interview he was reported to have said, "The supporters demand a lot, the press they demand a lot, I work hard so I can do things.”
"They think the coach is Harry Potter, I'm not Harry Potter. Success for me would be in the four years of my contract to make the 10th Champions League for the club and stop the Barca domination.”
"I think I find a way to stop them in our matches but the problem is that the championship is not about two matches, it's about 38."
The manager clearly has a layout of how things need to be at the club in the coming few months and being who he is, he is more than likely to achieve what he has set out to. Mourinho has also stated that he has not grown very fond
of Barcelona and the way they are going about things at the moment. The club seems to have developed a layer of smog and the players at the club seem to have this weird sense of feeling like they are better than everyone else. Mourinho feels it is high time
someone brought the players of the club and the club, back down to earth and he strongly feels that it is him and his Madrid who can do just that.
When he was asked if Madrid were the biggest club in the world at the moment, he said yes and then went on to say, "I used to say when we arrive in any airport in the world or even in Spain it looks like the Beatles arriving in
San Francisco in the 60s."
Mourinho is one man who everyone knows can easily do what he sets his mind to. If he can win the Champions League with Porto, then he can pretty much win it all with Madrid. Barcelona would have taken note of Mourinho's comments
and will now be looking to get back at the manager sooner rather than later. However chances are that Mourinho will be unaffected by their response as he strongly believes the best replies are those that are shown by the players performances on the pitch.
