The capital club have offered their full support to their domestic rivals as the Barcelona manager has reportedly suffered from a cancerous growth once again.
The Real Madrid board have offered their full affection and support for the Blaugrana boss as they have heard about the recent re-occurrence of his disease.
Barcelona and Real Madrid hold one of the most long held football rivalries between themselves, however some past incidents have seen the two sides put aside their differences and get united under one umbrella.
The most recent incident to bring the two sides together was Eric Abidal’s illness and the Madrid squad showed their support for the Barcelona man by wearing shirts bearing the player’s name.
According to recent reports, Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova has had a reoccurrence of the tumour that was removed almost 12 months back.
The Barcelona manager had a salivary glandular problem and the same tumour has once again resurfaced to cause him severe health problems.
Real Madrid have extended their support to the Catalan club on the matter and have united under the sad circumstances, putting their rivalries aside.
“Real Madrid want to express their support, love and affection to Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova and hope that he makes quickest recovery,” read the statement on the club’s official website.
“The Real Madrid C. F. extends this support to your club and your family.”
Barcelona have yet to officially confirm the reports, but they have reportedly suspended and postponed all the commitments of the day already.
Vilanova took over the reins from former manager Pep Guardiola at the end of the previous season as he chose to step down from the hot seat of the Catalan club.
Tito has done magnificently well to lead Barcelona’s charge and has seen them break several records on their march.
The Catalans have registered their best ever start to any La Liga campaign under their new manager and find themselves in a very comfortable position for the league title.
