Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor has claimed he is unconcerned with the criticism
Real Madrid’s on-loan Manchester City striker claims he is unfazed by the criticism and that he is not interested about whatever is written about him. He said that these things are normal in football and he will not let his performances
be affected.

The former Arsenal striker revealed that he does not read the newspapers as they don’t really interest him. He said that the criticism is normal for a footballer as there are people who will batter your performance and there will
also be some who will admire you. The forward added that every player has his good times as well as bad times so it is normal.
“I don't read the Spanish papers because I don't speak Spanish yet. It doesn't really interest me though what they're saying about me. It's normal for a footballer to go through ups and downs,” Adebayor was quoted as saying.
The 27-year old said that the media has its standards as they rated him a flop in last week’s home loss to Almeria but now they are full of praise after the match winning performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the UEFA Champions
League quarter-final.
“The press wrote that I was the worst player on the pitch last weekend, but I'm a hero again after my goals against Tottenham. And I'll probably be a bad player again in their opinion if I don't score against Athletic Bilbao,”
the Togo international concluded.
Adebayor has scored five goals for the Los Blancos in a total of 14 appearances after arriving from Eastlands in January. There is speculation that the forward will make a move to Newcastle United at the end of the season after
